Online courses

PTT delivers the knowledge you need through self-paced e-learning. The online courses make extensive use of interactivity to immerse you in the training.

Each course consists of several modules each of which has an accompanying multiple choice online assessment. These end of module assessments help you by testing your knowledge and providing feedback when you give an incorrect answer. The results of these assessments are recorded but do not count towards the award of your certificate.

After you have registered for a study programme you will be given access to all associated courses through our Learning Management System. You will be give a unique username and password along with a study guide which recommends the sequence that you study the courses. Access to the courses will be given for 12 months and the courses can be re-visited at any time during that period.

Tutor support

To ensure you are getting the support that you need while you train, you will be given access to a nominated online tutor who can offer support and answer questions on the topics covered. All tutor support queries will be answered within two working days.

Online assessment

The award of an NCFE certificate depends on the successful completion of multiple choice and short answer assessments which are accessed online at a time agreed with PTT and are time limited. The Unified Communications programme also requires the completion of a number of (untimed) essays.

What am I awarded at the end?

Upon successful completion of the online assessments you will be awarded a certificate issued by NCFE. This certificate indicates that the qualification you have obtained is a qualification at level 3.
